Henderson Hospital Las Vegas, NV
Henderson Hospital is a new state-of-the-art healthcare facility in Clark County. It was a project that required joint coordination between the electrical design team, the electrical contractor, and Nevada Lighting due to the way the project documents were arranged. We had the fortunate opportunity to collaborate with the specifying engineer and electrical contractor for fixture selection, as well as the lighting control. The essential requirements requested by the hospital were that all fixtures had to be LED, and the patient rooms had to have lighting control that integrated with the patient bed switches. The design team selected the BLT series from Lithonia Lighting for the patient rooms, along with the FSL series from Lithonia Lighting for the main corridors. The main conference rooms, board rooms, and executive offices had architectural lighting elements from Mark Lighting which were tied together through the nLIGHT Graphic Wallpod. The patient room luminaires were nLIGHT enabled to ensure compatibility with the patient bed switch and the light fixture; and, have a preset level of 100%, 75%, 50% and 25%, along with an “off” command. With Acuity’s A+ program (http://www.acuitybrands.com/solutions/a-certified ), we were able to 100% guarantee that all fixtures would work seamlessly with the control system. This guarantee allowed for unified integration and easy programming of the patient bed switch, the wall control, and the luminaire.
